The weekend after Thanksgiving, I spent the night in St. Helena. After a short stroll along Main Street and a bit of shopping, I came home feeling fully in the Christmas decorating mood. For the past two years, I hadn't really felt the holiday spirit, but this year feels different. Maybe it's because life feels a little more fragile right now, and I want to lean into the things that feel warm and grounding.
So I pulled out my collection of Christmas treasures that I've gathered over the years and decided I wanted to be immersed for the full holiday season. As the ultimate homebody, I love being surrounded by these little finds and memories. A few days later, Ersie and I went to Flowerland to pick out our tree, and my heart melted over the twinkling lights and years of collected ornaments. (If you're looking for a Christmas tree, I highly recommend Flowerland in Albany.)
This year, I also created my 10th Favorite Things list, and it just so happens to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Red Oak Realty and the 2026 calendar.
